Last Updated: July 17, 2026

Welcome to TTV (Taekwondo.TV) ("TTV", "we", "our", or "us").
TTV is a digital sports platform that aggregates and presents taekwondo competition information, athlete data, rankings, news, and related media content through the Taekwondo.TV website and TTV mobile applications.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using TTV, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About TTV

TTV operates as a sports media and data aggregation platform focused on taekwondo competitions and athletes.
The platform aggregates and displays competition data provided by official event organizers, scoring systems, and publicly available sources.
TTV is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to World Taekwondo (WT), European Taekwondo Union (ETU), or any national federation.
TTV may collaborate with event organizers, federations, clubs, and other stakeholders to improve data accuracy and visibility. The platform operates independently in its digital publishing and aggregation activities.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

2.1 Information You Provide

When you:

  • Create or manage an account
  • Sign in using email, password, or a supported third-party sign-in provider
  • Claim or verify an athlete profile
  • Edit a profile or upload an avatar, gallery image, document, or other file
  • Post comments or submit other user-generated content
  • Follow tournaments, athletes, news, or other content
  • Submit a correction request
  • Contact us or report a problem
  • Submit a content removal or account deletion request
  • Register as a club or official data partner

We may collect:

  • Name and display name
  • Email address
  • Username, account identifier, and authentication-related information
  • Organization or club name
  • Athlete profile information and other voluntarily provided profile details
  • Photos, files, documents, and verification documentation where required
  • Comments, reports, correction requests, support messages, and other user-generated content
  • App preferences, followed items, and notification preferences
  • Any additional information voluntarily submitted

Passwords are stored in protected form. Where you use a third-party sign-in provider, TTV does not receive your password for that provider.

2.2 Competition & Public Data

TTV aggregates competition information that is publicly available or provided by official event organizers and scoring systems. This may include:

  • Athlete names
  • Match results
  • Rankings
  • Weight categories
  • Tournament participation records
  • Club affiliations where publicly listed
  • Competition photos, flags, brackets, and related media references

This data is processed for informational, archival, sports reporting, and media purposes.

TTV does not intentionally collect special categories of personal data through ordinary account registration. If sensitive information is voluntarily submitted for athlete verification, support, correction, or legal requests, it is used only as reasonably necessary to process that request and protect the platform.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, TTV and service providers integrated into the website or mobile application may automatically collect or process:

  • IP address
  • Approximate or country-level location inferred from an IP address; TTV does not use this information as precise GPS location
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type, device model, operating system, language, and application version
  • Device, application-installation, account, and advertising identifiers where permitted
  • Pages, screens, features, buttons, and content viewed or interacted with
  • Referring URLs and general navigation information
  • Time spent using pages, screens, or features
  • App launches, session information, notification delivery, and notification interaction information
  • Crash logs, error reports, stack traces, diagnostics, performance information, and other technical information
  • Network, battery, memory, storage, and application-state information associated with a crash, error, or performance event

This information is used for application functionality, analytics, service improvement, diagnostics, security, fraud and abuse prevention, account management, communications, and, where enabled and legally permitted, advertising-related purposes.

The mobile application does not request precise-location permission for these purposes. Approximate location may nevertheless be inferred from an IP address by TTV or its service providers.

2.4 Purchases and Subscriptions

If you start a trial, purchase a subscription, restore a purchase, redeem an eligible code, or manage paid access, TTV and its payment and subscription service providers may process:

  • Purchase and subscription history
  • Product, plan, offer, and entitlement identifiers
  • Trial eligibility and subscription status
  • Purchase tokens, transaction identifiers, renewal, expiration, cancellation, grace-period, and billing-status information
  • Country, currency, and localized price information
  • TTV account or application-user identifiers used to associate an entitlement with the correct account or athlete profile
  • Device and application identifiers used for subscription delivery, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting

Purchases made through Google Play are processed by Google Play. Purchases made through an Apple platform are processed by Apple. TTV does not receive or store the complete payment-card number used for an app-store purchase. Google, Apple, payment processors, and subscription-management providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.

TTV may use RevenueCat to validate purchases, synchronize subscription status, restore entitlements, and make paid access available across supported TTV services. Purchase and entitlement information may also be synchronized with TTV systems so that an eligible membership remains available on the website and other supported devices.

2.5 Public Content and User-Generated Content

Information submitted to public areas of TTV may be visible to other users and visitors. This can include comments, profile names, athlete profile information, avatars, gallery media, public club affiliations, and other content a user chooses to publish.

Please do not post information that you do not want to be publicly accessible. TTV may moderate, restrict, preserve, disclose, or remove user-generated content as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, enforce our rules, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or resolve disputes.

2.6 Third-Party Sign-In and Notifications

If you choose Google Sign-In or another supported sign-in provider, that provider may share basic account information with TTV, such as your name, email address, profile image, and provider-specific account identifier. We use this information to create, authenticate, link, and protect your TTV account.

If you enable notifications, TTV and its notification provider may process an app-installation or device token, application identifiers, notification preferences, and delivery or interaction information to send and manage notifications. You may control notification permission through the application and device settings.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Services
  • Create, authenticate, and manage accounts
  • Display athlete profiles, tournament information, rankings, brackets, results, news, and public user content
  • Provide personalized preferences, followed content, and notifications
  • Process athlete claims, verification documents, corrections, reports, and content removal requests
  • Process purchases, determine trial or offer eligibility, validate subscriptions, restore purchases, and synchronize entitlements
  • Improve user experience, reliability, performance, accessibility, and functionality
  • Diagnose crashes, errors, failed requests, subscription problems, and other technical issues
  • Measure general product usage and understand how users interact with the Services
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support or service communications
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, invalid advertising activity, or unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies
  • Support advertising and advertising measurement where advertising features are enabled, consent has been obtained where required, and applicable law permits it

We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis, we process information based on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract, including providing accounts, subscriptions, entitlements, and requested Services
  • Legitimate interests, including sports reporting, archival and aggregation activities, platform security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, service improvement, and support
  • Consent, where required, such as certain cookies, advertising technologies, notifications, or optional account and profile features
  • Compliance with legal obligations

Public competition data is processed under legitimate interest for sports reporting and historical recordkeeping, subject to applicable law.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent through the available application, browser, device, or account controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before consent was withdrawn.

5. Cookies, Mobile SDKs, and Similar Technologies

TTV uses cookies, local storage, mobile software development kits (SDKs), device or application identifiers, and similar technologies to:

  • Enable essential website and application functionality
  • Maintain login sessions
  • Remember settings and preferences
  • Deliver and restore subscription entitlements
  • Send requested notifications
  • Analyze usage, stability, and performance
  • Diagnose crashes and technical problems
  • Improve security and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Support advertising, advertising measurement, and invalid-traffic prevention where those features are enabled

The mobile application may include:

  • Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), which may process IP-derived approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, application interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. The SDK may be bundled in a release even when that release does not display advertising.
  • Firebase Crashlytics, which processes crash logs, device and application information, diagnostics, and related identifiers to detect, diagnose, and fix application problems.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging, which processes app-installation or device tokens and message-delivery information to provide notifications.
  • Google Play Billing and Apple StoreKit, as applicable, which process purchases and subscriptions through the relevant app store.
  • RevenueCat, which processes purchase, subscription, entitlement, application-user, device, and related technical information to validate and synchronize paid access.
  • Google Sign-In or other supported authentication services when selected by the user.

The availability and operation of a particular SDK or feature may depend on platform, application version, region, user choice, consent status, and service configuration.

Where required, TTV uses a consent-management process before requesting advertising. You may control cookies through your browser, advertising privacy choices through available in-app privacy settings, notifications through device settings, and resettable advertising identifiers through platform settings. For more details about website cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Sharing

We may disclose or make information available:

  • To hosting, database, cloud storage, content-delivery, and infrastructure providers that operate the Services
  • To analytics, crash-reporting, diagnostics, notification, security, fraud-prevention, consent-management, and customer-support providers
  • To Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and other payment or subscription providers as necessary to process, validate, restore, manage, and synchronize purchases and entitlements
  • To advertising and advertising-measurement providers where advertising features are enabled and legally permitted
  • To authentication providers when you choose their sign-in service
  • To tournament organizers, clubs, data partners, or the public when information is part of public competition records or content you choose to publish
  • To professional advisers, authorities, courts, regulators, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, users, the public, or the security of the Services
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the TTV business, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required

Service providers are authorized to process information only for the applicable service or other lawful purposes under their agreements and policies. Third-party providers may also process information as independent controllers where described in their own privacy policies.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Account and profile information while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary for security, recovery, dispute resolution, or legal compliance
  • User-generated content while it remains published or as needed for moderation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute handling
  • Purchase, subscription, transaction, tax, and entitlement records as required to provide access, resolve billing issues, prevent fraud, and comply with financial or legal obligations
  • Crash, diagnostic, interaction, and security records for a limited period reasonably necessary to troubleshoot, protect, and improve the Services
  • Verification documents only as long as reasonably necessary to complete verification, protect against abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements
  • Public competition results as part of long-term sports reporting, archival, and historical recordkeeping

When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it as appropriate. Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course.

You may request account deletion from within the application through account settings. You may also request account or specific-data deletion using the Account and Data Deletion page, including when you cannot sign in. Certain records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, financial compliance, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or public sports-record integrity, as explained on that page.

8. Athlete Profiles & Public Data

Athlete profiles on TTV are generated using publicly available competition data and/or data provided by official event organizers and scoring systems.

Displayed information may include:

  • Athlete name
  • Match results
  • Rankings
  • Participation history
  • Club affiliation where publicly listed
  • Competition categories, brackets, flags, media, and other public sports records

TTV aggregates and presents this data for informational, archival, and sports media purposes.

If you are an athlete or authorized representative and wish to:

  • Claim your profile
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request removal where legally applicable

Please use the Athlete Profile Claim Policy or Content Removal Request page.

We review legitimate requests in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

TTV does not claim ownership of third-party competition results, event branding, trademarks, federation marks, or media owned by third parties.

Where applicable, all trademarks, names, images, and other protected materials remain the property of their respective owners.

If you believe content infringes your intellectual property rights, please submit a request through our DMCA / Copyright Policy page.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against:

  • Unauthorized access
  • Alteration
  • Disclosure
  • Destruction
  • Accidental loss or misuse

Information transmitted between supported TTV applications, websites, service providers, and TTV systems is encrypted in transit using modern transport encryption such as HTTPS where applicable. Access to administrative systems and personal information is limited according to operational need.

However, no online platform, storage system, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

TTV and its service providers may process information in countries outside your place of residence, including the United States and other locations where they operate.

Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, and legal safeguards are used in accordance with applicable data-protection laws.

13. Children's Information

TTV does not knowingly permit children under 13 to directly register an account or knowingly collect personal data from them through direct account registration without any consent required by applicable law.

Competition results involving minors may appear if publicly released by official event organizers or scoring systems. These public sports records are distinct from a child directly creating a TTV account.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information directly to TTV, or who have concerns about a public athlete record, may contact us for review, correction, or removal where applicable.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

TTV may link to third-party websites, applications, app stores, event organizers, media sources, or other services. TTV also relies on third-party providers described in this Privacy Policy.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. TTV is not responsible for the privacy practices of an external service when you interact directly with that service, but we remain responsible for selecting and configuring providers used by TTV in accordance with applicable requirements.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, providers, legal requirements, or data-handling practices.

The updated version will be indicated by the "Last Updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
