The Muju Taekwondowon 2026 World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series will bring elite kyorugi competition to Taekwondowon in Muju, Republic of Korea, from 5–7 September. As the second Grand Prix stop of the season, it represents another important opportunity to build ranking points on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Event outlines published by the Asian Taekwondo Union on 28 July identify World Taekwondo as the organiser. The Taekwondo Promotion Foundation, Muju County and the Korea Taekwondo Association are also involved in delivering the programme.
The material covers two separate competitions: the Olympic kyorugi Muju Taekwondowon 2026 World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series and the World Para Taekwondo Grand Prix. Although the wider announcement gives a shared event window of 4–7 September, the Olympic Grand Prix tournament is scheduled for 5–7 September.
Muju carries significance beyond an individual mid-season result. World Taekwondo has placed its 2026 Grand Prix calendar within the LA28 qualification process, increasing the value of each performance as the Olympic ranking picture develops. Readers can follow the road to Muju on TAEKWONDO.TV as the field, draws and schedule take shape.
The entry list, draws and detailed daily schedule will provide the next major indications of the competitive landscape before action begins.
